About Skybird
Skybird was founded by Elizabeth Nuti and is rooted in a deeply held belief that well-being begins with connection - to ourselves, to one another, and to the natural world. Through thoughtfully designed spaces, shared experiences, and embodied practices, we create the conditions for people to cultivate health, reconnect with who they truly are, build meaningful relationships, deepen their connection with nature, and integrate these practices into everyday life.
At Skybird, we believe health is the foundation for living well. As we care for the whole person—body, mind, heart, spirit, relationships, and our connection to nature, we cultivate the capacity to live with greater vitality, presence, purpose, and joy.
Life shapes us all.
Along the way, we develop habits, beliefs, fears, and ways of protecting ourselves. Many of these patterns help us navigate life, yet over time they can also limit how freely we experience ourselves, others, and the world around us.
Through awareness, we begin to recognize these patterns rather than be unconsciously guided by them. As we embody what we discover, our lives naturally begin to change, not because we become someone new, but because we begin living more fully from who we truly are.
This belief is the heart of Skybird.
Founded in 2010, Elizabeth began teaching yoga to five people gathered in a basement. What started as a small class has grown into a welcoming community that brings together people from across Southwest Michigan and beyond. People arrive from different backgrounds, life experiences, and seasons of life, yet through shared practice they discover connection, meaningful friendships, and a genuine sense of belonging. While Skybird has grown in many ways, this belief remains at the heart of everything we do.
Set within a restored century-old timber-frame barn surrounded by open skies and native landscapes, Skybird is more than a place to practice yoga. The barn itself is an intentional part of the experience, a place designed to invite people to slow down, breathe deeply, and reconnect with what matters most.
People often tell us they feel themselves exhale the moment they arrive.
Whether you're joining us for a weekly class, one of our workshops, or a retreat, we look forward to welcoming you to Skybird.
