ABOUT SKYBIRD
Set on 30 acres in Sawyer, Michigan, in the heart of Harbor Country, Skybird is surrounded by woods, native gardens, paths, and the changing landscape of the seasons. The studio welcomes locals and visitors from across Southwest Michigan, Chicago, South Bend, St. Joseph, and beyond.
Practices unfold inside a century-old open-air timber-frame barn, where the natural world is never far away. In warmer months, the barn doors stay open, the breeze moves through the space, and the pace of the outside world begins to soften.
Weekly Yoga Classes, Transformational Breath and Sound Healing Journeys, workshops, local and destination retreats, and private sessions are all held with warmth, intention, and care.
Through yoga, breathwork, sound, and nervous system awareness, students are guided through practices that build strength, mobility, steadiness, and rest - without pressure or performance. People often leave feeling stronger, clearer, calmer, more grounded, and more connected to themselves.
Every experience is designed to support all levels, with space for each person to practice in their own way.
The pace is unhurried.
The atmosphere is calm.
Skybird is a place to return to yourself.

ELIZABETH NUTI
ARTIST. TEACHER. FOUNDER OF SKYBIRD YOGA
Elizabeth Nuti is an artist, teacher, and founder of Skybird. With more than 30 years of personal practice and 15 years of teaching experience, her work brings together yoga, breathwork, functional movement, meditation, Qigong, sound, and nervous system awareness.
A 500-hour RYT+, Elizabeth is known for clear instruction, intelligent sequencing, intuitive guidance, and an approachable teaching style that meets people where they are. Her work is grounded in the understanding that these practices matter most when they extend beyond the mat and into how we live.
The practice is a return to ourselves—sometimes to parts of ourselves we haven’t yet met.
At the heart of Elizabeth’s work is the belief that when we create the right conditions, the body and mind have an innate capacity to move toward greater balance. Through movement, breath, awareness, nature, rest, and connection, she creates experiences that are both restorative and educational - helping people better understand themselves and giving them practical tools to return to presence and navigate everyday life with greater awareness and intention.
As an artist as well as a teacher, Elizabeth brings creativity and curiosity to everything she creates — from classes and workshops to retreats and the environment of Skybird itself. She is also the creator of The Wish Deck, a 58-card tool for reflection and personal insight, and leads local and destination retreats throughout the year.
“Yoga is a way of living—a practice of greater awareness in how we breathe, listen, relate to one another, make choices, and respond to life.”
— Elizabeth Nuti

ART + THE INNER WORLD
Art has always been another way Elizabeth explores the human experience.
Through surrealism, symbolism, and the natural world, Elizabeth’s paintings explore the inner landscape of being human—our conditioning, relationships, fears, and the stories we carry. Woven through the work is a deeper inquiry into consciousness, transformation, and what it means to awaken to who we are beneath it all.
